In the late-night streets of Yokohama, Japan, a male prostitute encounters a film director. He boldly offers himself for an audition, only to be confronted with the haunting question: "What is love?" In the heart of downtown Tokyo, a same-sex couple who have been together for seven years find the spark in their relationship fading. They decide to invite a third person to join them, unaware that the arrival of this mysterious stranger will irrevocably transform their lives. Inside an adult cinema, a "money boy" in the back row meets a middle-aged married man in the front. Their transaction carries a hidden undercurrent of danger.
